Restaurant’s giant burger consumed for charity

While your opinion is as valued as anyone else who likes to open their mouth before they know all the facts, 9’s By The River fears that you are not looking at the Bubba Burger challenge for what it is.

It’s all about charity, with all the proceeds going to the food bank, Child Find and a few other children’s charities as well.

While it may seem ludicrous to some, as are many of the other restaurant challenges — such as Drumheller’s 72-ounce steak at a whopping $100, this event is for the sole purpose of giving back to the community that has given so much to us.

With all the challengers who have signed up thus far, this puts us into approximately the $1,000 range that is going to be donated to said charities. Not bad for something so silly.

No one is being forced to partake in the challenge and the persons who have decided to try are all big, burly men. The Bubba Burger is also available for a crowd for birthdays or any other event, with all of the proceeds again going to charity.

So thank you again for your opinion and trust me, if I could manage to get this burger off to Africa to feed them, I would, but it would probably only be a half of a burger by the time it got there!
