Recent high water in the Red Deer River has resulted in a buildup of large trees and other debris on the concrete piers below the Gaetz Avenue Bridge. Boaters and recreational watercraft users are advised to avoid the area immediately upstream of the bridge, keep to the south side of the river and also to watch for signage, as the debris poses a potentially serious hazard.
