Traffic on part of Ross Street in downtown Red Deer will be narrowed to one lane and parking will be eliminated as water mains are replaced next week.

Construction will begin on Monday and continue to July 29 on Ross Street between Gaetz Avenue and Veteran’s Park. The two north lanes of Ross Street will close, while the south lane will remain open. Because of the lane closures, there will be no parking along this stretch of Ross Street during construction.

The city is counting on the patience and co-operation of motorists during this period.
