SASKATOON — A Saskatchewan couple have a new lucky number after winning the Lotto Max $40 million jackpot using numbers that all included four.
John Kinzel of Paradise Hill, Sask., says he just decided to use fours when buying their ticket for the draw last week.
He chose 4, 14, 24, 41, 43, 46 and 49.
When his wife Darlene read out the numbers, John Kinzel could only say “Heck, looks like we won $40 million.”
The win is the largest lottery jackpot in Saskatchewan history.
The couple say they are looking forward to a retirement free of financial hassles, plan to say goodbye to winter for good and will use some of the cash to help their family.
