Saskatchewan RCMP foil attack on woman

RCMP say two Mounties used pepper spray during a struggle to subdue a man who is accused of sexually assaulting and kidnapping a woman.

HUMBOLDT, Sask. — RCMP say two Mounties used pepper spray during a struggle to subdue a man who is accused of sexually assaulting and kidnapping a woman.

Police say the man was trying to force the woman out of a store in Humboldt, Sask., Thursday afternoon.

Responding to her screams, the two officers say they ordered the man to release the woman.

When he refused the Mounties fired pepper spray at the man and arrested him.

The woman suffered minor injuries in the struggle and says she doesn’t know the man who attacked her.

Lars Allen Olson, 27, of Naicam, Sask., is charged with kidnapping, sexual assault and assault.
