REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed defensive back Tamon George and offensive lineman Nick Hutchins on Monday.

The Riders selected both players earlier this month in the CFL’s Canadian college draft.

The six-foot, 180-pound George was taken in the second round, ninth overall, out of the University of Regina. George, a Regina native, spent three seasons with the Rams and last year started all of the club’s eight games.

The six-foot-two, 315-pound Hutchins, also a Regina native to play collegiately with the Rams, was selected in the third round, 17th overall, by the Riders. Hutchins was a Canada West all-star last season.
