The Recreation Centre outdoor pool opened Friday afternoon and it didn’t take long for Candice Lee and her son Ché to enjoy some of the toys available around the splash pool. For pool enthusiasts and those looking to escape the heat it will be open for public swimming, Monday to Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, noon until 5 p.m. Lane swimming is available Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, 11 a.m. to noon, 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Sunday noon to 1 p.m.
