A community-minded Red Deer College instructor says he's ready to make the leap into municipal politics.
Serge Gingras plans to run for Red Deer city council in the Oct. 21 civic election. Gingras, 55, said he is not running for Red Deer city council because he is angry or upset.
“I don’t think that’s really the right reason to enter politics or public service,” said Gingras. “I’m really big on the community aspect.”
Gingras has been at RDC for 28 years and he teaches Spanish and French.
