Sex assault victim sues

A woman who was the victim of a violent sexual assault two years ago has filed a lawsuit against her attacker and several sectors of the justice system.

CALGARY — A woman who was the victim of a violent sexual assault two years ago has filed a lawsuit against her attacker and several sectors of the justice system.

The woman was taken from her job at gunpoint and sexually assaulted in November 2008.

Michael Peter Nadolnik pleaded guilty to the attack and is facing a dangerous offender hearing.

The lawsuit names Nadolnik along with the Attorney General of Canada for letting Nadolnick out of jail after he spent the last three decades in and out of custody for violent crimes.

The lawsuit also names Correctional Services of Canada and the Calgary Police Service.
