Sheen leads Generals to win over Eagles

BENTLEY — Kyle Sheen notched the tying and winning goals in the third period to lift the Bentley Generals over the Innisfail Eagles 3-2 in a Chinook Hockey League game Sunday.

Curtis Austring also potted a third-period goal for the Generals. Innisfail’s Chris Neurauter snapped a scoreless tie in the second period and Adam Henderson made it 2-0 with a short-handed marker early in the third. Travis Yonkman stopped 17 shots as the winning netminder. Eagles goaltender Jonathan Larose made 24 saves.

On Friday, Innisfail dropped a 3-0 decision to the visiting Stony Plain Eagles, who got a flawless 35-save performance from Clayton Wilburn and two goals off the stick of Brendan Baumgartner.

Colin Taylor also beat Innisfail netminder Bryce Luker, who faced 28 shots.
