Sherman may run for leadership of a party

MEDICINE HAT — A member of the Alberta legislature who was booted from the Tory caucus for expressing public criticism of his government’s health policies told a crowd he planned to run for a party leadership.

But Raj Sherman didn’t say which party’s leadership he’d seek when he spoke in Medicine Hat on Saturday.

The governing Progressive Conservatives and the Opposition Liberals both have leadership contests underway.

After making the announcement, Sherman later qualified it to reporters, saying he was still only considering running for a leadership.
