EDMONTON — At least six people were sent to hospital after a garbage truck collided with an Edmonton transit bus.

Police say it appears the truck driver may have run a stop sign.

Rose Grandinetti, one of the passengers who wasn’t seriously injured, says she was thrown out of her seat from the impact.

The collision happened in a neighbourhood in the city’s north end around 10:30 a.m.

Police don’t believe any of the injuries are serious.
