Comic sketches about Elizabeth Barrett Bupkes, the famous poet, as well as Robot Boyfriend’s struggles to land a job will debut in this month’s edition of Bull Skit!

The improv and sketch comedy show runs on Friday and Saturday, March 30 and 31, at the Scott Block in downtown Red Deer.

This month’s host will be theatrical provocateur Matt Grue, artistic director of Ignition Theatre, which has been bringing edgy, diverse plays to Red Deer for seven years.

The musical guest will be The Dirrty Show, a Red Deer adult musical comedy group that’s been featured on Edmonton’s CJSR Radio.

Besides the Bupkes and Boyfriend sketches, Bull Skit! audiences will experience a behind-the-scenes look at auditions for Red Deer’s next big production — which should introduce more memorable characters.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8. There’s a cash bar, and a mature language and adult themes warning. Tickets are $23 ($18 for students and seniors) in advance from Sunworks at 4924 Ross St. or by calling 403-341-3455.

The Bull Skit! troupe is also available for parties or staff development exercises. For more information, call Jenna at 403-872-6706.
