Snow removal leaves ruts, fails to improve roads

The snow removal in the city has been the worst I have ever seen in my 35 years in Red Deer.

The snow removal in the city has been the worst I have ever seen in my 35 years in Red Deer.

Last week, the grey area was done. The city now puts up large signs in the area instead of the small sandwich boards. No one moved the vehicles and the plow made a small run in the middle of the street and left the ruts and snow they moved by the parked cars.

The piles are now ice piles that we try to avoid, along with a huge water hole filled with ice or water depending on the day.

This area by the hospital is always congested with parked cars from hospital staff.

This mess is unacceptable for residents who live in this area and try to drive down these streets to get to and from home.

This was the first plow this winter for the street and what a mess. Hope plowing gets better.
