Red Deer’s Kyle Soehn led the charge as Alberta athletes won four of six event titles and 12 medals in the 2012 Pan AM trampoline and tumbling championship on Sunday in Queretaro, Mex.

Kyle Soehn won gold in the individual trampoline and —with younger brother Keegan — in the synchro event.

“I knew coming to this meet there was a good chance to place in the top three and even win the individual event,” said Kyle Soehn.

“I was particularly pleased with being able to keep up a good rhythm in the final so that I could maintain my height and form throughout the entire routine.”

In the team event, Keegan Soehn, Ryan Sheehan of Edmonton and Denis Vachon of Burlington, Ont., coasted to victory ahead of Brazil and Argentina.
