SPCA garage sale raises $40,000

The Red Deer and District SPCA raised $40,000 net from its annual garage sale last month. One of the largest fundraisers, the garage sale surpassed the SPCA’s initial goal of $30,000.

The Red Deer and District SPCA raised $40,000 net from its annual garage sale last month. One of the largest fundraisers, the garage sale surpassed the SPCA’s initial goal of $30,000.

In 2011, the SPCA raised $25,000.

The money will go towards the care for animals and the shelter’s operations.

Featuring 90 tables of donated items, the garage sale ran from May 25-27.
