The Alberta Sport Development Centre in Red Deer will hold an information session Thursday for high school athletes and their families who have questions concerning post-secondary education.

The session will discuss what their possibilities are and how they can achieve them when selecting a post-secondary institution.

The presentation will feature RDC director of athletics Keith Hansen, who will talk about Canadian Colleges, Mount Royal University athletic manager Karla Karch, who will represent the CIS, and Carlee Ness and Jason Chatwood, who will talk about the NCAA.

Ness, who is an assistant coach with the Sutter Fund Chiefs major midget female hockey team, played women’s hockey at Yale while Chatwood, a member of the Red Deer Riggers, played baseball at Gonzaga University.

The four will provide a well rounded and informative session where parents and athletes can ask questions which will help them make a decision about the future.

The session is open to athletes in Grade 10-12 and will take place at 6:30 p.m. in room 2600 at RDC.

Registration is not required, but room is limited.
