There are a few job changes at the top level of Red Deer City Hall.

Howard Thompson will leave his job as manager of Land and Economic Development on Jan. 27 and then head over to Inspections and Licensing to be its manager, starting on Jan. 30.

Acting Inspections and Licensing manager Joyce Boon will return to her previous role as supervisor of that department.

The city has interviewed candidates for the Land and Economic Development position and hopes to make a selection this week, said Planning Division director Paul Meyette. Meyette, who has been with the city for eight years, will retire from his job on July 20.
