State Farm Revenge go undefeated

The Red Deer State Farm Revenge went undefeated in winning gold in the U14 A Division of the Esso Golden Ring ringette tournament during the weekend.

CALGARY — The Red Deer State Farm Revenge went undefeated in winning gold in the U14 A Division of the Esso Golden Ring ringette tournament during the weekend.

The Revenge beat the Vernon Rush 4-2 in the final as Mackenzie Lindholm had two goals and Hayley Lalor and Keesha Fairbrother one each. Goaltender Alison Schlachter made two outstanding saves in the final two minutes to save the victory.

The Red Deer crew beat the Medicine Hat Havoc 10-3 in the semifinal while downing the Calgary BV 12-4 in the quarter-final.

Kaylee Domoney and Lindholm had three goals each against Medicine Hat with Shannel Holtz and Lalor adding two each.

Lindholm had six goals against Calgary with Domoney adding three, Isabel St. Pierre two and Holtz one.

Earlier the Revenge beat the Calgary Furia 10-2, the Sherwood Park Shatter 7-3 and the Calgary Vaara 7-2.

Lindholm had five goals against the Furia with Domoney adding two and St. Pierre, Lauren Jewkes and Lalor one each.

Lindholm also notched five goals against the Shatter with Domoney and Lalor potting one each while St. Pierre had four goals against the Vaara with singles added by Lindholm, Domoney and Lalor.
