Monday, Nov. 21, marked the beginning of the fluoridation of Red Deer’s water supply debate.
This is a very important step that many other cities in North America, including Calgary, have taken to remove this unnecessary and harmful chemical from our water supply.
I for one have not consented to being forcefully medicated with this chemical, one that is specifically not to be swallowed according to every toothpaste bottle you purchase.
In times of budget cuts and limitations in city spending, I urge the city to save money by halting the addition of fluoride to our water.
I am writing to the Advocate today to raise awareness of this issue so that the rest of Red Deer can voice their concerns and objections to city council as well.
