For a response to the rant by David Suzuki and published as science by the Advocate, one need only look to the bottom of the page and read Radical NGOs distort truth for the cause by Gwyn Morgan.
Suzuki offers none of the solutions he talks about and resorts to nothing less than name calling and table pounding. He claims his science is “settled” yet he refuses to debate the issue with scientists of a different point of view and goes so far as to call for censoring those other points of view.
Typically he will be interviewed by George Stroumboulopoulos at the CBC. The fact is that Strombo is a board member of the David Suzuki Foundation and does not ask tough questions.
Suzuki calls for everyone else to live a reduced lifestyle from the comfort of his mansion (or other three homes) or while jet setting around the world. This is hypocritical and dishonest. Quite frankly, it reminds me of Alison Redford.
Suzuki should stick to his area of expertise (fruit flies), The Advocate should stop printing his drivel, and the Canadian government should cancel his charitable status.
