Some “awesome art” produced by Red Deer middle school students will be exhibited starting on Wednesday at the Kiwanis Gallery.
The diverse display at the Red Deer Arts Council-run gallery at the Red Deer Public Library continues to May 27. It includes oil pastel portraits and mixed media sculptures. The exhibit is designed to showcase the talents of young artists as they experiment with different subject matter and media.
The gallery will be open to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 4, but the opening reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 5.
