Six Red Deer high school students are being applauded for receiving this year’s Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) scholarships.

Mark Blaine of Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School, Kirsten Lowe and Tyler Schwarz of Hunting Hills High School, and Nicholas Jones, Milo Mancuso and Robert McQueen of Notre Dame High School each receive $1,000 to assist them in completing their apprenticeships.

Advanced Education and Technology Minister Greg Weadick helped present the scholarships earlier this month to the more than 240 Alberta high school recipients.
