• Drop-in Pajama Storytime invites children aged two to six years to the children’s department at Red Deer Public Library Downtown Branch for stories, songs, finger plays, and crafts at 6:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays. • Senior Citizens Downtown House dance, Tuesday, May 11 at 7:30 p.m. with live music by Frisky and Friends. The cost is $6. Phone 403-346-4043. Lunch provided by donations.

• Floor Shuffleboard at the Innisfail Curling Club is offered on May 11 to 13, July 13 to 15, and Sept. 7 to 9. The games begin at 8:30 a.m. Lessons are offered to newcomers. Drop in and have fun. Fees are $5 per day or $10 for three days, playing an equivalent of three games per day, plus a turkey shoot at the end. Lunch is available. Recreational vehicles welcome. No services. • Maskepetoon Community Crime Watch Association is holding a barbecue on May 11, 6 p.m. at Burbank Hall. • Central Alberta Regional Trails Society (CARTS) Annual General Meeting will be held on May 12, 7 p.m. at the Town of Lacombe Municipal Offices. Prior to the meeting — Bill Neilson, a local marathon runner and local trail builder — will lead the group on a 60-minute tail walk on the trails around Lacombe, and then offer a talk on trail-building at the town office. Red Deer Newcomers Club monthly coffee meet and greet will be held on second Wednesday at ABC Country Restaurant from 7:15 to 9 p.m., next on May 12.
