G.H. Dawe student Shila Poitra will be employing the science of pulleys and levers when her puppet becomes part of a play that will be watched by the entire student body this week. She and 300 other students have built puppets out of found objects and a recycled crib as result of the instructions given to them by comedy ventriloquist Val Hilliker and her husband Kelly Bundt, who’s Artist in Residence tenure at the school comes to a close on Wednesday, the day of the performance.
