MORINVILLE — A middle school teacher in Morinville is facing charges after two students came forward with allegations of sexual misconduct last week.

The man, whose name and age are not being released, is employed at a school for students from grades six to eight.

David Keohane, superintendent of the Greater St. Albert Catholic School Board, says the two students went to another teacher with the allegations.

Keohane says the man is not working at the school for the moment but has not been suspended.

Parents of children who attend the school will receive a letter from the school board explaining the situation.

The man is facing two counts of sexual assault, sexual interference and sexual exploitation.

He will appear in Morinville provincial court on Dec. 3.
