Thanks for addressing downtown crime

I want to say thank you to our mayor, RCMP and the powers that be at City Hall for addressing the crime in downtown Red Deer. There is an instant difference to be felt in a dangerous neighborhood. Today I saw two uniformed police officers (hats and all) on foot patrol in the alley behind the St. Luke’s Church.

Thank you so much to all involved … maybe we can park our vehicles now and find them in the same condition we left them in overnight, or walk to the corner store without the risk of getting jumped, and worry about our children a little less.

The tax increase is well spent — many of us would lose it in insurance deductibles otherwise.

I know you hear the negatives before you receive positive feedback, but for what its worth: thank you!
