At this time of National Volunteer Week, April 6 to 12, we at Volunteer Central would like to thank the many volunteers in Central Alberta who dedicate their many talents, skills, compassion, and time to support numerous community programs. Without these tireless individuals, many organizations would not thrive, let alone survive.
We are so very fortunate to work with numerous organizations and volunteers who inspire us every day to do a little more for our community. In Alberta, over 54 per cent of the population volunteer, giving over 200 million hours a year. Volunteers mobilize public initiatives, coach and mentor our youth, brighten people’s lives, sustain an environment for future generations, teach compassion and empathy for our fellow man. These volunteers and their actions impact our community every day.
Thank you to the many volunteers in Central Alberta. We are proud to work with you to make this a better community.
If you would like to be a volunteer, and gain skills and work experience, assist your community, and be a part of something bigger and greater than yourself, contact Volunteer Central and we will connect you with an organization that can benefit from your expertise.
If you are an organization looking for volunteers, contact us at www.volunteercentral.ca and we will help you find those volunteers.
