Three Mile Bend water level too low?

During the week of July 11, the Red Deer Parks Department was pumping water out of the ponds at Three Mile Bend.

A Parks Department employees said the reason for the pumping was because they had been told that the water levels had to be pumped back to normal levels for the freestyle ski jumpers and the floating docks.

I have noticed that some of the freestyle ski jumpers are not completing their jumps as well as they should be. Also, the river water level is at the lowest point for the summer and the ponds have receded well below the normal water level that the city had pumped them to.

I was wondering if Parks Department superintendent Trevor Poth was considering pumping water back into the ponds to bring them back to normal levels for the freestyle ski jumpers and the floating docks.
