Thunder capture 18 medals, qualify for provincial team

Kyle Soehn earned a gold medal in the senior men’s double-mini trampoline (DMT) and a silver in the trampoline, finishing as runner-up in the latter event to his brother, Keegan Soehn.

The brothers then teamed up to win gold in senior men’s synchronized trampoline.

Meanwhile, Zachary Blakely mined gold in the novice 11-4 men’s trampoline and DMT, Kalena Soehn struck gold in the novice 11-14 women’s DMT and was fourth in trampoline, and Caiden Cline was golden in the novice 15-and-over men’s DMT and settled for silver in the trampoline event.

In addition, Madeline Potter earned bronze in each of the novice 11-14 women’s trampoline and DMT, and in synchronized trampoline Potter and Kalena Soehn won gold in the novice women’s category and Cline and Blakely took top honours in the novice men’s division.

In tumbling, Alexandra Potter and Logan Chaput won gold in the novice women’s and men’s divisions, Samuel Peters earned a silver in the provincial D men’s division and Blakely and Ashton Henfrey were bronzed in the provincial B and provincial D men’s events.

Also in tumbling, Lauren Howse was sixth in provincial D women’s, Kalena Soehn was ninth in provincial B women’s and Isabelle Macpherson was 10th in provincial D women’s.
