Thunder Country snares 16 medals at Exelta Cup

Red Deer Thunder Country Trampoline and Gymnastics Club members snared 16 medals in the Exelta Cup trampoline/tumbling meet Sunday at the Collicutt Centre.

Red Deer Thunder Country Trampoline and Gymnastics Club members snared 16 medals in the Exelta Cup trampoline/tumbling meet Sunday at the Collicutt Centre.

Alexandra Potter was a double-gold winner in the provincial A women’s class, taking top honours in the trampoline and double mini trampoline (DMT) and also winning gold in the B tumbling events, while Logan Chaput was golden in the provincial A men’s trampoline and DMT and settled for silver in B tumbling.

Everett Dool won gold in the C men’s DMT and silver in trampoline, while Ashton Henfrey struck gold in the C men’s trampoline, picked up a silver in D tumbling and won a bronze in DMT.

In the synchronized trampoline event, Calvin Burton and Evan Burton were golden in the B men’s category, and Sam Peters and Logan Chaput and the combination of Dool and Henfry earned silver medals in the A and C men’s divisions, respectively.

Isabelle Macpherson garnered a bronze medal in each of the C women’s trampoline and D tumbling.
