Thunder Country strikes gold

Red Deer Thunder Country Trampoline and Gymnastics Club athletes Alexandra Potter, Logan Chaput and Ashton Henfrey struck gold in individual events in the Western Canada Cup at Beaumont during the weekend.

Red Deer Thunder Country Trampoline and Gymnastics Club athletes Alexandra Potter, Logan Chaput and Ashton Henfrey struck gold in individual events in the Western Canada Cup at Beaumont during the weekend.

Potter was golden in the provincial A women’s trampoline and double mini trampoline (DMT) events, while Chaput won gold in the provincial A men’s trampoline and Henfrey was victorious in the provincial C men’s trampoline.

Chaput also mined gold with Samuel Peters in synchronzied trampoline, as did Henfrey with Calvin Burton.

Winning silver medals were Isabelle Macpherson and Maria Crichton in provincial C women’s trampoline, while Peters earned bronze medals in the provincial A men’s trampoline and DMT and Henfrey settled for bronze in the provincial C men’s DMT. Other bronze medallists were Jordan Smith and Laura Arnusch in in provincial B women’s synchronized trampoline.
