Red Deer Tim Hortons restaurant owners are presenting a series of Sunday concerts at Bower Ponds this summer.

The first of four free concerts features the Alberta R&B/jazz band Mocking Shadows.

It begins Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. This concert will be followed by three more on July 8, August 12 and September 2.

“Supporting Summer Sundays at Bower Ponds is just one way that we can do our part to help supply community members with fun, free entertainment opportunities,” said Bruce Dunham, Tim Hortons restaurant owner.

The concerts are in support of making this summer Red Deer’s best yet.

The city is also organizing weekly cultural performances and demonstrations every Wednesday at the downtown public market and again during Thursday lunch times at the Ross Street Patio.
