Know Your Rebel

Bolton Pouliot

Favourite band?

I’m a country guy, pretty well all country music, I don’t have a specific guy.

Favourite movie?

I like Happy Feet. It’s kind of unusual, but I watched it the other day and its kind of fun.

Fashion style?

I used to be a real skater guy, but now I just do what I need to do — casual.

Hobbies?

Golf, but I’m not really good at it, tennis, hanging with friends and family, I’m a family guy.

Biggest hockey influence?

My dad (Danny Pouliot) is my biggest influence, no matter what. He played hockey, not the top level, but growing up he was always there to influence me.

Who’s hot?

Brandon Wheat Kings RW Mark Stone has garnered at least one point in the team’s first five games and leads all WHL scorers with 13 points — including five goals. The six-foot-three, 196-pound product of Winnipeg is an Ottawa Senators prospect.

Who’s dependable

“I know there’s an ongoing discussion about fighting, but, in my mind, there’s always going to be a need for it in the game of hockey. Guys are going to start taking liberties if you take it out. It’s controlled well with the instigator rule. Most guys are not stupid about it. Most guys are honest with it.” — Spokane Chiefs LW Darren Kramer, who had 46 fighting majors in 68 regular-season games last winter, to Steve Ewen of the Vancouver Province.
