CALGARY — A woman police were seeking after two pit-bull-type dogs mauled another woman at an Alberta home has been arrested in Calgary.

Rita Phillip, who is 57, was taken into custody without incident overnight on a charge of aggravated assault.

Police duty Insp. Paul Stacey says the suspect was found at a casino following a tip from the public.

Phillip was charged after the RCMP alleged she deliberately set her dogs on a 26-year-old Calgary woman who was visiting her home Saturday morning in Sundre.

The dogs had earlier been declared vicious by Sundre town officials.

One of the dogs was shot dead by police, while the other canine remains in quarantine.
