HINTON — A two-year-old girl has been killed in a hit-and-run collision in a parking lot in western Alberta.
RCMP say the child was struck by a vehicle late Saturday afternoon in Hinton, about 290 kilometres west of Edmonton.
They say the toddler’s parents had momentarily lost sight of their daughter just before the collision.
The parents took the girl to hospital where she died.
Her name has not been released.
There are no known eye witnesses to the collision, and police are looking for information from the public to help them piece together what happened.
