Trailer fire in remote northern Saskatchewan community claims two lives

Two people have been killed in a trailer fire in a remote northern Saskatchewan community.

URANIUM CITY, Sask. — Two people have been killed in a trailer fire in a remote northern Saskatchewan community.

RCMP say the blaze in Uranium City happened sometime between midnight and 4 p.m. Monday.

The victims were found inside the trailer.

They have not been identified and their bodies have been sent to Saskatoon for autopsies.

The RCMP’s major crime unit in Saskatoon is working with officers from two northern detachments in the investigation.

Uranium City is about 700 kilometres northwest of Prince Albert.
