Regarding evictions at Les’ Trailer Park: It is a terrible situation. This trailer court houses mostly low-income families or single parent working families who live paycheque to paycheque.
It is even more of a blow to families who have just moved in to know that they have lost most of everything.
What about those people who thought this was a great start in home ownership and put a new roof on their trailer or did renovations to better their home?
Who has the $20,000 it will take to move a trailer to another location?
What do those with mortgages do when they can’t sell their trailer for more than a few thousand but still have to repay their loans?
Yet the municipal and provincial governments move at a snails pace to try to “work things out” with this nice gentleman who is reaping the profits.
