Trautman unbeatable on weekend

Camille Trautman and her Red Deer Sutter Fund Chiefs enjoyed a good weekend at the Kin City Arenas.

Trautman recorded a pair of shutouts as the Chiefs downed the Spruce Grove Saints 9-0 Saturday and beat the Calgary Chaos 1-0 Sunday in Alberta Major Midget Female Hockey League play.

Trautman made 21 saves against Spruce Grove and 22 against Calgary.

Rachael Hoppins led the Chiefs against Spruce Grove with four goals while Jade Petrie added three and Ciana Zweifel and Rebecca Glackin one each.

Glackin scored the Chiefs lone goal Sunday.

The pair of wins gave the Chiefs a 6-2-1 record and left them one point behind the South Division leading Calgary Flyers.

The Chiefs face the Highwood Raiders on the road Saturday and host the Sherwood Park Fury Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at Kin City Arena B.
