Triple Crown of BMX achieved by Molly Simpson

Molly Simpson of Red Deer achieved the triple crown of BMX during the weekend, nailing down a provincial championship at Medicine Hat.The Red Deer BMX club member was also the top rider in her age class in the Alberta Provincial Series #1 event and the Canadian National Championship #1, becoming the first Red Deer rider to claim the triple crown since Tim Pratt achieved the feat in 2009.

Other Red Deer riders winning provincial titles during the weekend included Lindsay Hall and Ty Redbear, while Chase Harrison took top honours in his cruiser class and Pete Snape, Aaron Wandler and Randy Hall placed third to fifth, respectively.
