RYCROFT — Two men are dead in northwestern Alberta after a bizarre collision involving three trucks and one moose.
RCMP say on Saturday night a southbound truck and two northbound trucks hit the moose near Rycroft on Highway 2.
Police say the southbound truck hit the animal first and stopped and less than a minute later the northbound trucks also hit the moose.
One of the trucks went into a ditch and rolled several times, ejecting two passengers who later died of their injuries.
Neither of the men who died was wearing a seatbelt.
The driver of the truck that rolled was wearing a seatbelt and suffered a broken arm.
