CALGARY — Calgary police have issued attempted murder warrants for a man and a teenage boy after two explosive devices detonated at a northeast Calgary apartment complex Saturday.

Kyle Robert McKee, 24, and a 17-year-old who can’t be named, are wanted on other charges as well, including possessing and making explosives and possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose.

McKee has been quoted in the local media as an active neo-Nazi and member of the Aryan Guard, but police say there is no indication the attack was a hate crime.

Investigators say the victims and the suspects knew one another and “share similar beliefs and values.”

Police discovered two exploded devices in the complex’s parking lot and believe they were tossed near a suite in a targeted attack.

Investigators say a person inside the suite managed to throw the devices back into the parking lot before they exploded.
