Two men from the O’Chiese First Nation have been charged with aggravated assault after a man was stabbed on Saturday.

Rocky Mountain House RCMP responded to an emergency call on the O’Chiese First Nation community at about 11 p.m. that day.

When officers arrived, the suspects and the victim were gone. An intensive investigation was initiated, which resulted in both suspects being arrested, and the victim being located.

The victim was subsequently provided with medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

A man, age 32, and another man, age 26, are also charged with break and enter, uttering threats, and weapons-related offences. Both remain in custody and will appear in Rocky Mountain House Provincial Court on Wednesday.

Rocky RCMP said residents of the O’Chiese and Sunchild First Nations were instrumental in providing information to the RCMP to resolve the situation.
