Red Deer’s Arash Usmanee moved one large step closer to a world title fight with a resounding victory over former world title challenger Cristian Faccio of Argentina on Friday in Montreal.

Usmanee controlled the super featherweight bout from the outset and won via technical knockout at 1:58 of the third round. With the win, the former Red Deer Boxing Club member improved to a perfect 19-0-0.

Usmanee, 30, holds the WBC Continental Americas lightweight crown.
