I wish to support the comments made by Mary-Ann Barr on the subject of health care printed in last Tuesday’s edition of this paper.
A friend of mine waited nine months for a hip replacement, and another acquaintance of mine waited a matter of months, not years, for a knee replacement.
Having lived in the States for three years because of a job transfer, I shudder at the very mention of private clinics here. The inhumanity of their health care system was shocking.
Of course, it would only be the wealthy who would be interested in the establishment of private clinics in Canada.
