Von Hollen named Capital City grand champion

Madison Von Hollen was named the junior colored belt grand champion at the Capital City martial arts championships during the weekend.

EDMONTON — Madison Von Hollen was named the junior colored belt grand champion at the Capital City martial arts championships during the weekend.

Von Hollen won the 10-11 year-old orange-green belt forms and sparring titles and teamed with Jade Von Hollen to win the team forms.

Jade Von Hollen won the eight-nine year-old white-yellow belt forms.

Meanwhile, Hector Jordan was named the junior black belt forms grand champion while winning the forms and taking second in the heavyweight sparring.

Jack Marchuk won the 10-11 year-old blue-brown belt sparring and colored belt musical weapons and was third in colored belt traditional weapons forms.

Tori Marchuk won the seven-and-under white-yellow belt sparring and was second in the forms while Nick Marchuk won the junior black belt heavyweight sparring and was second in weapons forms and musical weapons forms.

Raven Cheney placed second in the 12-13 year-old blue-brown belt sparring and Samuel Abijero was third in the 10-11 year-old blue-brown belt sparring.
