Gabrielle Waddell of Red Deer placed first in each of the 1,000-metre B final and 500m C final during the Speed Skating Canada fall World Cup selections at the Calgary Olympic Oval during the weekend.
Valérie Maltais of La Baie, Que., won both the 500- and 1,000-metre distances, giving her victories in five of the six races.
