Red Deer’s Gabrielle Waddell missed out of making the A finals in her two 1,000-metres races at a World Cup short track meet in the Netherlands during the weekend.

Red Deer’s Gabrielle Waddell missed out of making the A finals in her two 1,000-metres races at a World Cup short track meet in the Netherlands during the weekend.

Waddell finished third, and 11th overall, in the C final in the first competition then was eliminated in her efforts to come through the repechage in the second 1,000m. She was forced into the repechage after losing out in the heats, then won her first two races in the repechage before finishing second in the semifinal.
