Water damage closes health centre in Eckville until late August

Water damage from floods has forced the temporary closure of the public health centre in Eckville.

ECKVILLE — Water damage from floods has forced the temporary closure of the public health centre in Eckville.

Heavy rains last Monday damaged the floors and walls of the building.

Cathy McDonald of Alberta Health Services says repairs are underway and they hope to reopen the facility before the end of August.

In the meantime, people needing health services must use health centres in other communities.

Eckville is about 45 kilometres west of Red Deer.
