The Culture Services Centre at 3827 39th St. in Red Deer, closed due to water main issues on Tuesday, was reopened on Wednesday.

“I think we’ve got it under control,” acting Culture superintendent Wendy Meeres said.

“With the construction on 39th Street, we had some issues in front of our facility so we had to cancel programs in the evening but we will be back up and running” today.

Meeres noted that there has been partial closures on 39th Street for quite some time but is happy the centre wasn’t effected for more than two days.

The Culture Services Centre houses the Red Deer Symphony Orchestra and studios that offer visual and performing arts programs such as music, dance and art classes for children and adults.

On Wednesday, staff temporarily uses other recreational facilities in Red Deer such as the Collicutt Centre but were back at their regular offices in the afternoon.
